Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson is a New Zealand director. By far, his most acclaimed and famous films are The Hobbit trilogy and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He is also known for directing the films Heavenly Creatures, The Frighteners, King Kong, and The Lovely Bones.
In the late-eighties and early-nineties however, Peter Jackson directed in a much different style. During this period, he was not that well known, and the few that did know about him knew him as a creator of gory and strange black comedies. These films were Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles, and Braindead.
